After getting her degree in computer science, Jocel Faye wanted to become a professional in her chosen field. She decided to leave home in search of better opportunities in a different city. Fate, however, led her to 51Talk when sometime after leaving home, she received a message from her college dean suggesting that she consider being an online English teacher. She was hesitant at first to begin her online teaching journey because she knew nothing about teaching. “I never thought that I would be a teacher.” She decided to take a leap of faith and returned to her hometown.
