Jack Huang started the 51Talk platform when he saw the need for proper teaching of conversational English in China. With the establishment of this platform, the Chinese are given access to quality online English lessons conducted by Filipinos. Jack considers Filipinos the perfect online English teachers because of their high English proficiency, happy and friendly nature, and familiarity with the Chinese culture.
Since 2011, 51Talk has delivered about 100 million online English lessons.
