On the Way to Greatness: Teacher Macytle’s Story of Growth with 51Talk

Teacher Macytle was a proud witness to 51Talk's debut on the New York Stock Exchange listing in 2016. From that moment on, she was positive that she is working with the best and that she can only expect great things from 51Talk: “Since it was registered in the New York Stock Exchange, I noticed a lot of good changes and got more students. I felt that I really have a stable job.” 

Fresh out of college, Teacher Macytle started her teaching journey with 51Talk in 2015. Little did she know that her decision to apply for a part-time position as an online English teacher would be one of the best decisions she has made. 

Art is Macytle’s first love and her dream job is aligned to it - being a makeup artist. Her life changed tremendously after receiving a call from 51Talk, where she applied for an online English teaching position, a day after her college graduation: “Being a teacher is not my dream job. It was a struggle at first because I wanted to pursue something that I really want.” Looking back, Teacher Macytle is grateful that she did not miss the opportunity to be part of 51Talk because it enabled her to pursue the things she wanted in life: “Years after, I decided to attend makeup classes. I have a flexible working schedule so it's very convenient to try out new things. I have been providing makeup services for more than 2 years now.”

One of the many things that Teacher Macytle is grateful for is being a 51Talk teacher in the midst of the tough times the world is in, with the threat of COVID-19. She encourages aspiring online English teachers to join 51Talk: “Especially these days that we are facing the threat of COVID-19, they can still provide for their family without risking their own safety. As 51Talk celebrates the milestone of its Fourth NYSE Listing Anniversary, Teacher Macytle is motivated to take on the challenge of professional development so she can grow alongside the biggest and best online English teaching platform : "I see bigger possibilities in online teaching and the learning industry so I tried to be admitted in UP Open University and take Master of Distance Education. I wanted to really hone my skills as an online educator because I know that 51Talk will continue to flourish and I want to be worthy of being a 51Talk teacher.”
