Maine Mendoza Shares Experience as 51Talk’s New Brand Ambassador

51Talk, the number one online English teaching platform in the Philippines, introduces actress, influencer, and entrepreneur Maine Mendoza as the new face of 51Talk teachers. 51Talk Country Head Jen Que revealed the news and welcomed the TV personality during 51Talk’s mid-year press conference themed A Decade of Growing Together with the Filipino Community.  

Que explains that Maine represents 51Talk teachers perfectly saying, “When she’s not on-screen, Maine juggles other roles as an entrepreneur, advocate, and writer. She understands what it’s like to constantly explore endeavors that don’t just pique one’s interest, but also make room for self-improvement. Her lively personality, coupled with her entrepreneurial mindset and go-getter attitude, make her an ideal embodiment of our 51Talk teachers.”

Maine shares that it’s an honor and a rewarding experience to represent 51Talk. She shares, “I said yes to 51Talk because I felt that the values and ideals that 51Talk stand for appealed to me. I felt that, on a deeper level, nakakarelate ako because they value genuine connections with people, and they recognize and reward hard work.”

Right after the press conference, Maine appeared as a special guest on 51Talk at Home and got to share her experience as the new brand ambassador. She says, “For me, it’s really rewarding to be an ambassador for 51Talk, and I’m grateful for the trust that they have given me to represent the brand. It’s truly such an honor, so thank you, again, 51Talk! I also love the fact that 51Talk has helped 30,000 teachers here in the Philippines stay safe from COVID for the past year with their teach from home setup. So, talagang convenient.”

During the livestream, Maine also shared a short clip and insight of her experience as a guest teacher for a day. “It was so much fun! I never imagined that teaching kids would be so much fun. Sobrang babait ng mga students, and I actually recommend everyone to try it,” she shares.

Aside from this, Maine also got the opportunity to talk to some awesome 51Talk teachers, namely teacher Ivan Rhodes, teacher Honey Bay, and MAMAmazing teacher Tiffany Leighton. The three guest teachers shared about their achievements on the platform, their lives outside of 51Talk, and their experience teaching on the platform. The three guest teachers also answered a lot of questions, allowing viewers to get insights on how to apply as a 51Talk teacher, the different opportunities available to teachers, what it’s like to teach on the platform, and more.  

During the livestream, Maine also touched on the opportunity that 51Talk gives to mothers. She says, “This is actually perfect for moms at home because they have the option to work from home. When asked if she would consider being a 51Talk teacher if she were not in showbiz, she immediately answers, “Oo naman. ‘Di na tinatanong ‘yan! Definitely! Kasi sobrang nag-enjoy talaga ako. It would be fun to be a full-time teacher, but I think I should leave that to the professionals. Pero, I can always do part-time naman as a 51Talk teacher. Seriously, if I had free time, I would definitely teach because I love kids.”
