51Talk hosted their first-ever digital concert last November 26 through The Yellow Tomorrow Show. Here’s a recap of that night to remember!
51Talk celebrated its first-ever free digital Thanksgiving concert through 51Talk’s The Yellow Tomorrow Show on 51Talk’s official Facebook page last November 26. With hundreds of online attendees who tuned in during the two-hour live event, 51Talk provided fun online activities, gave over Php20,000 worth of exciting giveaways, and showed performances from 51Talk teachers and well-known OPM artists.
Part of the main event included two giveaway raffle promos, namely “Fill in the blank: All I want for Christmas” and “Guess That Song Title: Emoji Edition.” To qualify for these giveaways, participants had to comment their answer on 51Talk’s Facebook post and tag five of their Facebook friends while using the hashtags #51TalkDigitalConcert and #TheYellowTomorrowShow. For each game, random lucky winners were drawn every time the Facebook post reached a certain number of milestones.
During the first game “Fill in the Blank: All I Want for Christmas,” 10 lucky random winners were awarded after thousands of post comments were received. Five lucky winners won Php500 worth of grocery gift certificates after 2,000 comments were received; three winners received a 2-in-1 griller with hotpot after 4,000 comments were received; and two winners received a Noche Buena package after 5,000 comments were received.
For the game “Guess That Song Title: Emoji Edition,'' 9 lucky random winners received a prize after a certain number of shares were reached. Five winners each won Php500 worth of Lazada gift certificates after 400 shares were reached, while two winners each received a portable Bluetooth speaker after 600 shares were reached. Meanwhile, 51Talk gave away wireless earphones and an audio recording set, respectively, for two winners after 800 shares were reached.
Aside from these prizes, all the viewers had the chance to win homeschooling or teaching tools by inviting more people to watch the event. Five lucky winners were announced at the end of the show with three viewers each winning a Smart watch, and two viewers each winning an Ultra HD Android TV box after reaching 300 and 400 views, respectively. Unfortunately, the audience was not able to reach 700 views during the live event, so no one received the Huawei Y7A mobile phone prize.
Aside from the giveaway activities, 51Talk livened up the event with its very own PHBEE performers. Teacher Christine Ruth and teacher Wiene sang their hearts out with their beautiful versions of Last Christmas and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, respectively. Indeed, teacher Christine Ruth and teacher Wiene proved that 51Talk teachers are not only skilled in teaching, but also gifted in singing.
To keep the show going and the online guests coming, 51Talk also welcomed a member of the country's OPM showbiz royalty, Karylle, to the virtual stage. Along with her band, Karylle performed two of her original songs, namely ILOVEYA and It's Christmas Time.
After that, the Philippines' Queen of Bossa Nova Sitti also gave a remarkable performance singing her rendition of All I Want for Christmas is You and her hit song Para Sa Akin before the event closed. Thanks to 51Talk's The Yellow Tomorrow Show, Karylle and Sitti were able to wish everyone a merry and wonderful Christmas live.
Before the show finally ended, however, 51Talk also announced the names of the 10 lucky winners from rounds 1 and 2 who received Php100 worth of mobile load.
Although 51Talk's first digital concert is over, 51Talk will continue to give away prizes this holiday season. With 51Talk's “At Home with 51Talk” promo, you can get the chance to win major holiday treats and a Noche Buena package!
